19 of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard surfaces

A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his maiden trophy for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.

The athlete, a ex- number one, has endured a difficult season, winning just a single victory at the big events and experiencing a setback at the US Open.

His varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serving in especial - caused him falling of the world's top 10 and finally parting ways with former trainer Gilles Cervara.

Presently working with Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has steadily advanced in the last few weeks - peaking in a hard-fought three-set win over Frenchman Moutet.

It is the player's first championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt after March of 2023.

Success also indicates the Russian has won twenty-one titles at twenty-one distinct competitions.

"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to secure a title is especially meaningful," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.

"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter my daughter, because the first title I got when my older daughter her name was born was for her."

Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his past six championship matches, comprising in the German tournament earlier this year.

Medvedev's counter-punching play style and recurring outbursts on the tennis court had caused commentators to question if his capacity to play at the elite level was over.

But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and perform positively, reinforced by an enhanced serving game.

He fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging opponent, securing four of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.

The competitors traded service breaks in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his first tour title, seized the initiative to create a third set.

He defended 4 initial break points in a competitive final set before the champion secured a break to fifteen to secure the win.

Suitably, Medvedev earned victory with a rally at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
